Animals Charades

Choose your difficulty to see the full word list.

Animal charades is a family favourite for one simple reason: pretending to be a creature is joyful at any age. Toddlers waddle like penguins, teenagers ham up a sloth in slow motion, and adults discover that miming an octopus with only two arms is harder than it looks. Because sounds are usually banned in charades, every clue has to live in the body, the shape of a trunk, the sway of a giraffe's neck, the sideways scuttle of a crab. This page splits the animal kingdom into three lists by difficulty. Easy sticks to the barnyard and zoo regulars that even the smallest players know, medium wanders toward stranger silhouettes like the flamingo and the walrus, and hard dares performers to sell an aardvark, a pangolin or a Komodo dragon with nothing but posture and movement. Choose a level and let the wild rumpus start.
